PRESENTER: SCOTT HARTMAN, MBA, CFRE.

Scott Hartman, MBA, CFRE, offers over 20 years of nonprofit management and development experience. A native of Latrobe, PA, Scott joined The Catholic Foundation in 2002 as the Director of Donor Administration. For the next 11 years, he grew and developed along with the impact of the Foundation. He played an intricate role in moving the Foundation to their current location at the historical landmark of the original Wendy’s restaurant.

In 2013, Scott left his position as Senior Vice President to work at St. Francis DeSales High School where he led the advancement team and oversaw the first stage of a multi-year modernization project. Under Scott’s guidance, the school completed the largest campaign in school history, and set the stage for many years of physical expansion and growth. In 2017, feeling a call to return to the work that sparked his passion for philanthropy, Scott returned to The Catholic Foundation where he currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ohio Dominican University and his Master of Business Administration from Ashland University. In 2022, Scott earned the designation of Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) .

Scott enjoys volunteering and giving back. He served as an assistant coach for the girls’ soccer team at St. Francis DeSales High School from 2015 to 2018 and served on the finance committee at St. Matthias Parish, and is a past president of their School Advisory Board. He has spent many hours volunteering at St. Paul Parish, St. Francis DeSales High School, and Our Lady of Peace Parish. Scott has also served as a race organizer for the Lennon Loop 5K/10K charity event, he served on the Board and as Chair of the Museum of Catholic Art and History in Columbus, and currently serves as a Board member for the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

Scott and his wife, Laura, along with their three (nearly) adult children, live in Westerville.
